My Mother's Day Weekend... Manic Mommy Monday #11

I'm joining The Gnome's Mom for "Manic Mommy Monday!" This is the 11th week and while there are no weekly topics so to speak, it's a fun way to re-cap on your weekend, give an update on your life or anything else you feel led to "talk" or blog about on Monday! If you're so inclined, join us fellow "Manic Mommas," link-up and join the fun! The link-up is at the bottom of the post!

Mother's Day was yesterday and I sure hope you mommas had a great Mother's Day!  I had a fabulous day and wanted to share a few pictures from my day with you.

Mother's Day started a little early on Thursday as I had "Mother's Day Tea" at my toddler's pre-school.  The kiddos served the mommas tea and cookies.  It was so sweet.  Their teacher had helped the kiddos make cards and a hand-print flower picture which was framed.  It was a fun afternoon with my little guy.

On Mother's Day, my family and I attended church in the morning.  Church was awesome as each momma got to enjoy a neck massage and sweet treats at literally every corner!  Afterward, we had a yummy lunch at Charleston's and picked up some frozen yogurt from Cherry Berry on the way home.  The highlight of the day was the 1.5 hour nap I enjoyed with my little ones!

Now, if Mother's Day wasn't already awesome, it got even better.  The boys and I had a delicious dinner with my mom and sister at Red Rock Canyon Grill.  I love that I can celebrate Mother's Day with my mom.  She's an amazing woman who taught me everything I know about faith, love, compassion, generosity and charity.  I sure do love her.  Anyhow, the boys devoured their steak and potatoes.  But wait, the night gets better!  After dinner, we headed to The Melting Pot for fondue!  Dessert at The Melting Pot was my sister's idea and boy was it an excellent idea.  If you've never been to The Melting Pot, then you must plan a trip there soon.  The dessert fondue is just heavenly.  My youngest toddler LOVED the milk chocolate fondue.

Here's a glimpse of our dessert fondue.  We had a milk chocolate fondue and a banana fosters fondue.  We had strawberries, bananas, rice krispy treats, red velvet cake, brownies, cheesecake and marshmallows to dip.  We finished EVERYTHING!

When the boys and I came home, they went straight to bed.  Stuff your little ones full of chocolate fondue goodness and they'll drift into dreamland.

What did you do for Mother's Day?  However you celebrated, I sure hope you enjoyed your day.  Being a mother is such a gift and you know what?  EVERY DAY should be Mother's Day.

Happy Blogging,
Toni The Chic Momma

  1. I get emails from The Melting Pot and drool at every one!!! The nearest one just about 45 mins to an hour from me so we keep postponing our first adventure because by the time we pay for gas and dinner it would just be too much right now. I shall simply live vicariously through the emailed adds and your experience!
Sounds like you had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

  2. That looks so fun! We didn't do anything special this year. Maybe sometime in the future we'll get to do The Melting Pot though.
